Junior School visits Melbourne Zoo
Junior School students spent last Friday having an amazing time at Melbourne Zoo. So far this Term throughout our Science unit we have been discussing the features of various dinosaurs and comparing them with animals we see today. Our exploration of Melbourne Zoo certainly turned up some well recognised features. Students enjoyed an interactive experience with a snake and a tortoise after ferreting amongst the bushes looking at skulls, animal foodstuffs, insects and poo from various creatures (in containers!).
We are very proud of our students who represented Somerville Rise with impeccable manners and public decorum. We’d like to thank the parent helpers for your support throughout the day and your wonderful company as well.
